Among these is stress, diet or even the weather. However, stress is the most common. We need to further define stress as it has many forms. There are two aspects worthy of consideration as they have an effect on the immune system which can in turn cause an outbreak.

The first aspect is stress brought on by an irritating influence. By this we mean anything that can change your mood negatively. A person can be the source of this type of stress or even a particular situation or circumstance you find yourself in. Often, it can be the combination of both elements. You can include anger and even deep anxiety in this category. Of course, the other element that determines your vulnerability to an outbreak is whether or not the situation can be resolved or avoided. The longer the negative feeling builds and persist the greater your chances of developing an outbreak.

In a situation like this, one suggestion is to always practice remaining calm so as not to let it affect you and, in turn, affect your health. Easier said than done – true. And for some of us it will take practice but well worth it.

A second aspect is stress as a result of fatigue. What is not meant is the fatigue one feels after exercise. What is being referred to here is the “chronic” feeling of always being tired and not being able to rest. The feeling can last for days or months. Unfortunately, we’re only human and are susceptible to these types of stresses. In a situation such as long hours at work, fatigue and frustration usually occur at the same time. If you are constantly working and you throw in an unhealthy dose of frustration, a herpes outbreak is likely to occur depending on how well you’re able to handle it. This escalates because now that the outbreak has happened, the outbreak itself becomes another source of stress.

Stress cannot always be eliminated. The best thing you can do is take a break. Stop, relax or even walk away for a moment or two. Remember to place a marker in that book, save your work on the computer or highlight where you left off so that the stress does not return because you can’t recall where you left off before you took that break.

There are a number of all natural products that can treat outbreaks and even prevent them from occurring. But, managing your stress is the key. This is harder to do in real life since the pressures of living cause stress and cannot be avoided. The tips above have helped many get through the day without having as many outbreaks. Watching your diet and investing in a great all natural method for keeping outbreaks under control won’t hurt either.
