We’re embarrassed by it and, if it’s not too much trouble, we’d just like it to go away. Many of us have felt that way and though some of us have managed to conquer acne many are still contending with it. They are many treatments available but natural acne treatments are always recommended because of their low to zero risk of side effects.

Some of us who never had acne may still develop it. It does happen. They just call it “adult” acne. Adult acne can be brought on by stress, low quality cosmetics, hormone changes or even birth control pills. Stress can cause your oil glands to overproduce. Inferior quality cosmetics can lead to pores that get laden with bacteria. Hormones cause the oil secreting gland (sebaceous glands) to overcompensate leading to breakouts which can happen when using birth control pills.

Regardless of the type, it can be depressing and even cause low self-esteem because of either our own perceptions of beauty or someone else’s we are trying to live up to. We always want to make some kind of pleasing impression and it’s hard to do that when your face is riddled with acne scars and you’re forced to find ways to hide the scars or even worse shy away from people to avoid being seen.

A dermatologist can prescribe a pill to get rid of the acne but it often comes with extreme side effects. In addition, if you’re on a budget, a dermatologist may not be the most economical way to manage the problem. Take the time to compare some all-natural acne remedies so you can address the problem effectively without creating a new one. Proper diet, exercise and cleanliness can’t be stressed enough. You still need to do all the things necessary for the fostering of healthy skin. It won’t happen overnight but acne can be treated effectively without a prescription or other chemicals that can harm your body in other ways.

Looking Younger

So when exactly does old age happen? People between the ages 18 and 29 might say it starts at about 60 or 65 which is about the official age of retirement in the United States. Of course, there’s official early retirement which is at the age of 62. But if you asked middle-aged persons when old age begins they may put it at around 70. Those around 65 or retired may put it at around 74 or 75. Perceptions about aging will depend on who you ask. I wonder what someone at 90 with good health would say.

Differences in what younger people expect to happen as they grow older and what occurs in actuality is in sharp contrast. However, one notable thing that
happens is we simply “look” older. Granted, some people are just blessed with incredible skin. How many times have mothers and daughters been mistaken for sisters? Of course, that can go the other way too. Some young people look like they’ve been through war, starvation, plague and pestilence. Most adults age naturally but still desire to look 10 to 15 years younger. The market is flooded with products from all-natural treatments to plastic surgery to fight the effects of aging and to preserve a youthful appearance for as long as possible. Some of these products claim, in effect, to have discovered the fountain of youth.

One thing to keep in mind is that even with plastic surgery you will never turn back the block that far back but you can improve your appearance significantly if you take the time to research natural products on the market. Natural products tend to have little or no side effects and enrich the function that your skin already has and though you can never stop the aging process you may be able to significantly slow it down on the skin’s surface.
