Whiten Teeth
Natural teeth whiteners are a great way to maintain a bright smile. If you deal with people on a regular basis it may be a good idea to have your teeth whitened. It is also a good idea when compared to high priced dental procedures for the same results. However, some individuals feel that teeth whitening is an acceptable substitute for brushing and general oral hygiene. That would be a mistake. Teeth whitening is cosmetic at best and enhances the look of your teeth but it does not address total dental and oral hygiene.
Here are some helpful tips for oral health:
• Brush teeth twice a day.
• Use soft bristles since they cause less damage to teeth and gums
• Use fluoride toothpaste.
• Gently and thoroughly brush each side of every tooth and the gums.
• Tongue cleaning using a scraper or toothbrush is also very effective in preventing bad breath.
• Always rinse your toothbrush under water after use.
• Always store your toothbrush in a clean dry place.
• Do not share your toothbrush to prevent the spreading of germs.
• Replace your toothbrush or toothbrush heads as often as possible.
• Drink water after meals.
• Use dental floss to clean between your teeth.
• Don’t smoke. It stains your teeth and can also lead to disease in the mouth.
Are your teeth still not white? Then go ahead and break out the teeth whiteners. But always remember to do the above each day and you’ll be on your way to maintaining a healthy smile.
