Liposuction Increases Cellulite

Liposuction Not Effective For Cellulite

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery operation that removes deep fat cells from targeted parts of the human body. The most common areas for liposuction are the stomach, thighs, and butt. Although liposuction removes the fat, the procedure is ineffective against cellulite. Liposuction technique extracts fat by a vacuum process at deeper levels than cellulite occurs. Depending upon the amount of fat that is extracted, the skin may be altered or damaged. Yet people believe that liposuction will cure them of cellulite.

Cellulite From Liposuction

There are many causes for cellulite including hormones, genetics, diet and lifestyle. The fat that is the primary cause of cellulite is not the same fat that causes a gain in dress size. This particular fat is deep and closer to our bones, and is also the primary source our body uses to burn energy. This is also the same fat that is targeted by liposuction treatments. Cellulite consists of fat cells that reside within the skin. These particular fat cells cannot be burned as fuel during exercise nor targeted by liposuction treatment.

While liposuction will give a good contour look for some people, for others it will make the appearance of cellulite much worse. Some patients claim that more cellulite appeared after the liposuction procedure. At times the deeper level fat acts like a cushion which smoothes the top surface skin. Removing fat from the deep layers with liposuction can cause new cellulite to appear on the surface. Liposuction creates more of a problem for cellulite than it corrects.

As an alternative for liposuction treatment, there are non-invasive treatment options available for cellulite. There have been many positive testimonies, by both men and women, proclaiming the usage of creams and lotions for cellulite. These products have been proven safe and gentle for all skin types and have been advertised on many national television networks.

Liposuction is not the cure for cellulite, because it targets a different fat that does not cause cellulite. In fact, cellulite and skin conditions are often worse after the procedure. Aside from the inability to treat cellulite, the liposuction procedure is both expensive and risky. Research the various options with alternative methods for cellulite treatment to save time, money and your skin.
