Bladder Control Problems
One of the most common bladder problems is incontinence or more specifically urinary incontinence. Persons suffering from this type of bladder problem experience trouble controlling the passing of urine flow. Though it is quite common among many, it is by no means normal. It is clear that urinary incontinence is a medical problem and there are supplements on the market that address this particular bladder problem. What many ignore are the social problems that urinary incontinence creates. The constant trips to the restroom, especially in social settings, can be distressing or even embarrassing to the sufferer. Because of the embarrassment associated with incontinence, many choose to keep the problem hidden, even from their doctors. They simply resort to dealing with it to save themselves the embarrassment of having to discuss it with anyone.
Causes of incontinence are not definitive but the conditions creating urinary incontinence can include skin irritations, infections, accidental falls, and even disturbances during sleep. Up to 40% of elderly people deal with incontinence and it happens to be one of the major reasons for choosing to live in a nursing home. This is not to say that urinary incontinence is inevitable as someone ages. Perceptions of this problem are changing as more supplements and treatments are becoming available. Remember this is a temporary problem and it is treatable.
